Murray Harold McDiarmid
Passed away in the arms of his loving wife on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Hillsdale Estates, Oshawa, in his 86th year.
Beloved husband and soulmate of Beryl (nee Barry) for almost 55 years. Predeceased by parents Harold and Dorothy (nee Bray). Brother of Harvey (Claudia). Brother-in-law of Bryan-deceased (Anna), Wayne (Linda), Grenville (Brenda-deceased), Dale (Wayne-deceased), and Phil (Sharon). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Murray was an avid classic car enthusiast and he travelled near and far to visit car shows, museums and private car collectors. He and Beryl had the travel bug and enjoyed many adventures to Africa, Europe, South America, Asia and throughout North America,
Murray was a true animal lover and supported various causes over the years, including his particular favourite, The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada.
The family would like to express their special thanks to the amazing staff at Hillsdale Estates for their compassionate care of Murray and their unwavering support of Beryl.
Visitation will be held at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby, on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Visitation will commence at 1:00 p.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m., followed by interment and a reception.
Memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society or The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada would be appreciated by the family
