Quietly, our beloved Kathy passed away Monday March 17, 2025, at Lakeridge Hospital, Oshawa. Throughout her several medical issues, she always remained positive, determined, and strong, looking forward to her next adventure.

Kathy has joined her late husband and loving partner, Bruce. She will be sorely missed by her children, Alexander (Hyunah) and Victoria; parents, Carol and Gord McArthur; sisters, Jennifer (Nicolaos) Sotiriou, Heather (Steven) Kauffeldt; and Sandra (Justin Ohm) McArthur; sister-in-laws, Adrienne and Allison McKenzie. Close to her heart were her beloved nieces and nephews: Evan, Madison, Charles (Tannis), Mikaela (Aidan), Nikolas, Abigail, Leiha, Gracyn and Andrew.

Her passions were outdoor oriented. Be it baseball, swimming, canoeing, skiing, gardening, hiking or exercising with friends and family on FaceTime. Last year, Kathy completed two ‘bucket list’ adventures. She and Heather drove the McArthur RV to Banff, picked up daughter Victoria and returned home via Yellowstone National Park. In early November, Heather and Sandra joined Kathy on an adventure filled trip to England – the Three Amigos! Jennifer was able to spend several days with Kathy up at Blue Mountain Resort.

Her family, friends and colleagues will miss her sunshine smile and encouragement.

At a future date, there will be a Celebration of Life. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to a charity of your choice.
