Robert "Bob" Meek

July 3, 1929 ~ January 17, 2025 (age 95)

Passed away peacefully at West Nipissing General Hospital, Sturgeon Falls, with his son David by his side, on Friday, January 17, 2025, at the age of 95. Beloved husband of Sally Henderson (d. 1998) and Evelyn Cox (d. 2020). Dear father of Ruth-Anne (d. 2011), Carol (Rick), George (d. 2014), and David (Dorina). Loved and remembered by his grandchildren Derek (Sylvia), Jason, Christiane, Sylvie (Adam), Kylie (Dan), and Robbie (Susana), his great-grandchildren Melody (AJ), Sarah, Olivia, Jensen, and Emilia, and by Evelyn’s children Murray (Elaine), Gloria (Sandy), and Janet (Jamie) and their families.

Survived by his youngest brother Gerald (Eleanor), his sisters-in-law Carol Meek and Dorothy Kinsman, and by many nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his brother Norm, sisters Ona and Helen, and his parents Milburn and Audrey.

Bob loved his family and friends, spending time at the Rabbit Lake Hunt Camp, fishing anywhere, anytime, playing cards, and demonstrating his mischievous humor. He will be missed.

Special thanks to the staff of the interim long-term care residence of the West Nipissing General Hospital and to David and Dorina for welcoming Bob into their home three and a half years ago and for their ongoing care as dementia tightened its grip. The family especially thanks Dorina for her tireless and extraordinary tender loving care.

Friends and family are invited to call at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
