GAUDET, Michael Joseph Gaudet - After a valiant battle with Covid, Michael Gaudet passed away surrounded by love on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, the day before his 78th birthday.
Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Kimmitt).
Cherished brother-in-law of Marilyn Mathany (Edward). Loving uncle of Stephen Mathany (Maria), and Colin Mathany, and great uncle of Caleb Mathany.
Mike was the loving son of the late Joseph and Ida Gaudet. He spent the majority of his life in Toronto until his retirement in Port Perry.
Mike prized his friendships from childhood, Neil McNeil, Ryerson, Rotary, and throughout his business career, keeping a number of these friends for his lifetime.
He would tell everyone he met to keep baking with parchment paper, which he helped introduce to the Canadian retail market through his companies of Norscan and Specialty Paper Group.
Ironically, Mike had no idea how to cook! There will be a Celebration of Mike’s life in the spring, 2024.
