KOOPMANS, Michael “Mike” - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our cherished brother, wonderful and amazing father, fun-loving uncle and caring father figure to many of Mitchell’s friends, who has lost his 9 month battle with cancer at the young age of 57.
Easy-going and always full of life, he lived life to the fullest every day. Mike enjoyed time at his cottage hunting, fishing, working on projects, walking and chatting with his Pointe-Au-Baril friends.
Family gatherings, whether for special occasions or a summer BBQ were important to Mike.
We love him with all our hearts and will miss him more than words can say.
Survived by his son Mitchell, sisters Donna (Doug) Johnston and Suzie (Duncan) MacMaster.
Predeceased by his parents, James and Marion and his godfather Ben Pester.
There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, Barrie. on July 9th from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
