Marilyn Anne Moore

1938 - 2024

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of Marilyn Anne Moore, who passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the age of 86.

Beloved wife of William Moore for 64 years. Loving mother of Karen Williamson (John), Sharon VanVeen (John), Sheila Moore (Gerald), and Bill Moore. Cherished Grandma to Kristina (Dave), Tonya (Eika), Shane (Kayley), Britney, Lynsey (Dillan), Colin, Lisa (Mitchell), Gerrit, Caleb (April), Jessalyn (Cam), and Aaron (Amanda), and great-grandmother to Eli, Isla, and Layla. She is also survived by her brother Don and his wife Beverley.

Marilyn was born in Toronto and later moved to the Pickering area, where she met her life partner Bill. Together, they began their life at Moorlands before moving to Ashburn, where they built their home and raised their four children.

Marilyn had a love for travel and enjoyed many adventures, from boating to flying. She spent winters in Zephyrhills, Florida, and cherished time at the cottage on Horseshoe Lake, where family gatherings and sing-alongs were abundant. She loved observing the birds and wildlife on the Dagmar property and had a passion for gardening. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Wagg Funeral Home, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry, on Friday, November 22nd from 1 – 2 p.m., with a short ceremony to follow. All are welcome to return to the family home afterward to celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Marilyn’s honor can be made to the Canadian Lung Association or the Canadian Wildlife Federation.

Memories, photos, and condolences may be shared at Wagg Funeral Home.
