MORRISSEY, Dwayne Patrick Morrissey

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Dwayne Patrick Morrissey on August 14, 2024. A beloved father, son, brother, and friend, Dwayne was a man of exceptional character, whose kindness, love, and dedication touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Dwayne cherished his family above all else, especially his profound bond with his daughter, Summer. He was a man who lived by the values he cherished most—family, loyalty, and integrity. He took immense pride in a hard and honest day's work, always approaching every task with dedication and a sincere desire to do his best.

Yet, as much as he valued his work, it was his family that truly held his heart. Dwayne’s boundless compassion and generous spirit were evident in everything he did, whether he was offering a helping hand, sharing a laugh, or simply being there when someone needed him most. His sense of humor and positive outlook brought light to even the darkest moments.

Dwayne is survived by his loving daughter, Summer; his mother, Heather; his brother, David; his brother-in-law, Kevin; and Julianne. He was recently predeceased by his sister, Deb, and his father, Andy. Though he has left this world, the love and memories he created with those closest to him will live on forever.

A visitation for Dwayne will be held Thursday, August 29 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, Oshawa, Ontario, followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 1:30 PM.
