David Grant Nickels

February 17, 1963 - February 24, 2025

David Nickels passed away peacefully at 62 years of age, surrounded by his loving family on February 24th, 2025.
Beloved husband of Rosanne (née Policella) for 30 years. Dear father to Dominique (Joshua Van Roie), and Daniel.
Son of the late Sigmund & Margaret Nickels. Son-in-law of Harold & Annina Policella. He was a beloved brother,
brother-in-law, and uncle to many, always bringing kindness and warmth to those around him.

David dedicated his life’s work to his family farm, Nickels Orchards. Inspired by his father and uncle, David began following
in their footsteps at only 11 years old, eventually dropping out of high school to pursue his passion for farming. With his wife Rose
by his side, David happily devoted 47 years to Nickels Orchards, working alongside his children, just as he had been brought up.
David and Rose loved what each season brought to not only their farm, but their family.

Visitation will be held at the Reid Funeral Home and Reception Centre, 14 Russell Street, Leamington (519-326-2631) on Thursday,
February 27, 2025, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. As per David’s wishes, a private ceremony will be held. Memorial donations
may be made by cheque to the Erie Shores Hospice & Transition To Betterness.
