Johnny Jean Niles

August 26, 1958 - February 9, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Johnny Jean Niles, retired GM employee and an ardent admirer of all things British, who departed this life peacefully in his sleep on February 9, 2025.

Johnny is survived by his children, Johnnie and Cassondra; his grandchildren, Shane, Linden, and Emelyn; his Godson, Thomas; and his siblings, Lisa, David, and Sandra. He also had a special relationship with his brother-in-law, Daniel, stepson, Kenny, and his nephew, Jacky. Affectionately known as “Uncle John,” he left behind many friends, including Dian Smith.

He was celebrated for his jokes, playful antics, and deep love for his late mother, Eileen. His frequent travels to her homeland of England allowed him to build a meaningful relationship with his half-brother, Steve, and his niece, Anna, along with her family.

Uncle John enjoyed creating videos, biking, and metal detecting. He was a devoted churchgoer, participating in services in both Canada and England, and he often found solace in reading the Bible and quoting scripture.

His family finds comfort in knowing that their “Nanny” is now with him—wherever that may be.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Online condolences may be shared at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME.
