Margaret Isabel Noland
April 8, 1935 – December 15, 2024
Our beautiful mother, Margaret Isabel Noland, passed away on December 15, 2024, in her 90th year with family by her side at Northumberland Hills Hospital. She was the loving wife of Barry Alexander Noland (predeceased April 2022), loving mother of Mandy, Teri, and Michael, grandmother (Bah) of David and Maggie, and great-grandmother (Bah) to Ethan.
She will be sorely missed by her sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family along with her beloved fur babies.
Mom waged a valiant battle with Alzheimer's disease, always remaining strong and positive throughout her illness.
She worked for KenMil Construction, a business owned by her parents, Ken and Mildred Smith (predeceased), for 25 years. She became a stay-at-home wife where she helped to raise her two grandchildren, David and Maggie. Mom returned to the workforce at the age of 60 at Canadian Tire North Oshawa, running the Automotive Department for 13 years before retiring.
Our family would like to thank the staff at Applefest Retirement Home, Quinte West Hospital, Golden Plough LTC, and Northumberland Hills Hospital. A special thank you to Dr. Kathy Ballard-Thompson, who knew Mom briefly but showed kindness and compassion toward her.
A visitation was held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the Oshawa Funeral Home at 847 King St. W., Oshawa, ON.
A private ceremony and interment with family will be held in the spring of 2025 for both our Mother and Father, Margaret and Barry Noland, at Erskine Cemetery in Pickering.
Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at Oshawa Funeral Home.
