Irene Noseworthy

April 12, 1941 - December 2, 2024

Irene Noseworthy passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday, December 2, 2024, at the age of 83. She spent her final days under the exceptional care of the staff at Margaret Bahen Hospice. Irene now joins her beloved husband, Charles Noseworthy; her parents, Hazel and Ernest Earle; her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Noseworthy; and her sisters Effie Earle, Jessie Hunt (late Clyde), and Loretta Farrar (late Claude) as she embarks on her next great adventure.

Born and raised in Bell Island, Newfoundland, Irene later built her family life at Musselman’s Lake. Known for her vibrant personality, wit, and love for others, Irene embodied the spirit of hospitality. She was a dedicated caregiver to her family and especially to her husband, Charlie. She was the epitome of a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Irene’s adventurous spirit was evident throughout her life, whether participating in the Red Hat Society, traveling with the carnival across the United States, or spending winters in Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida with family. Her infectious sense of humor and love of life created cherished memories and friendships wherever she went.

Irene is survived by her sons Dean Noseworthy (Melissa) and Earl Noseworthy (Lisa) and their families. Her granddaughters Amanda Drew (Dalton), Zoe Noseworthy, Dakota Miles, and Kim Callihan (Joshua) affectionately called her “Nan” and “Nanny.” Great-grandchildren Reed Drew, Evan Drew, Carver Noseworthy, Asher Noseworthy, Hunter Miles, and Marley Callihan will carry forward her love and legacy. She is also survived by her beloved sister Ruby Jewer (late Bud) and brother Ernie Earle (Jackie), as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to Irene’s niece, Carol Farrar, for her loving care during Irene’s illness, and to the staff at Margaret Bahen Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations in Irene’s memory may be made to the Margaret Bahen Hospice.

Visitation will be held at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street S., Uxbridge, on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. At a later date, Irene will be laid to rest at Churchill Cemetery.

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at Low & Low Funeral Home.
