CORNELL, Michael Raymond Cornell

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Raymond Cornell at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on April 14, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Predeceased by his parents, Pat and Carol Cornell, Mike leaves behind his sister, Jeannine Closs (Michael), his brothers, Paul and Tim, his nephew, nieces, great nephew and great nieces and his many friends.

The family thanks the staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa and Bowmanville for their wonderful care and compassion. Memorial donations may be made to Lakeridge Health, or a charity of your choice.

A Celebration of Life in honour of Mike will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Bowmanville on Friday, May 29, 2026 from 3 pm to 6 pm.
