Jessica Agnes Ford, born October 3rd, 1931, in Felixstowe, England, passed away peacefully on May 30th, 2025, at the age of 93. Daughter of the late Olive and Alfred William Davis, Commissioned Gunner R.N.

She is survived by her beloved sons Andrew and Gary, and daughter-in-law Diane. Jessica was predeceased by her ex-husband Eric—whom she never stopped loving—her elder sister Joan, and brother Neville. She is also survived by her younger brother Richard, still living in England.

Jessica married in 1957 and emigrated to Canada in 1961. While she lived the remainder of her life here, England always remained in her heart. She never quite adjusted to Canada’s cold winters or the mosquitoes but embraced a full and meaningful life.

Engaged in the world and those around her, Jessica made new friends in every decade of her life. She remained intellectually and emotionally connected until her final days—even writing a poem about the aspirations of a hospital room cleaner during her last stay at Joseph Brant Hospital.

With her last breath, she whispered “Good-Bye,” holding the hands of her sons. She was a beloved mother and an unforgettable soul.
