Joan Madeline Davis passed away peacefully at Riverview Gardens – Long Term Care, Chatham on Monday, May 5, 2025 at the age of 75. Beloved wife of the late James “Jim” Wayne Davis (2017).
She is lovingly remembered by her children Scott Davis (Karen) of Brampton and Shelbi Cudmore (Paul) of Thamesville, and her cherished grandchildren Taylor, Madison, Ava, and Davis. Joan will be deeply missed by siblings Doug MacVicar (Penni), Len MacVicar (Mary); sisters-in-law and extended family members, and leaves behind her dear “Little Dolly” Jewel.
Born in Leamington, ON, Joan retired from the Public Utilities Commission where she worked as a Purchasing Agent. She also volunteered with Valleyview Home and the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, giving back to her community in many ways.
Visitation will take place at Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. A private interment will be held at a later date. Donations in Joan’s memory to Riverview Gardens – Recreation Department are appreciated.
