GROLEAU, Gillis “Gill” Groleau
August 7, 1969 - April 13, 2026If I could have just one more day and wishes did come true,
I’d spend every glorious moment side by side with you.
Recalling all the years we shared and memories we made,
how grateful I would be to have just one more day.
Where the tears I’ve shed are not in vain and only fall in bliss,
so many things I’d let you know about the days you’ve missed.
I wouldn’t have to make pretend you never went away,
how grateful I would be to have just one more day.
When that day came to a close and the sun began to set,
a million times I’d let you know I never will forget.
With tear filled eyes and heavy hearts we share that the amazing person that is Gillis is no longer with us. He had a personality which was larger than life, and eclipsed only by the goodness of his heart. He was outgoing and charismatic, the life of every party. He was always a jokester, a huge dog lover, and big sports fan. He also loved going to live concerts with family & friends. His smile was contagious and he shared it often when showing compassion and care to anyone who needed help.
Most importantly, he loved his family. He will forever be loved and missed.
Gillis, you were the loudest color in a gray room, a storm of motion that never knew how to rest.
We carry the weight of the words we saved for later, heavy in our hearts now that you’re gone.
But we choose to remember your spark, the way you burned bright enough to light us all.
You were a wild, unfinished masterpiece.
A celebration of Gillis’s life will occur once some time has passed and eased the pain of our loss.
Gillis will always live on with his loved ones; Tamara Groleau (wife), Tye Groleau (son), Jessica Moore (Daughter in-law), Gilles Groleau (father), France Groleau (mother), Sophie Nicholls (sister), Gord Nicholls (brother in-law), Nicole (niece), Ryan (nephew), Adam (nephew), Trevor (husband of Nicole) Elliott & Liam (Nicole & Trevor’s children), Mason (Ryan’s son), Bailey & Maverick (girlfriend and son to Adam)
“Goodbyes are not forever, are not the end; it simply means I’ll miss you until we meet again.”
