Carmela Guarini, affectionately known as Carm to those closest to her, entered the Lord’s embrace on Monday, April 28th, 2025, at the age of 84. Surrounded by her loving family, Carmela departed this life gently, comforted by prayer and the love she so freely gave throughout her life. Carmela was a woman of deep compassion, resilient faith, and unwavering kindness. She shared a beautiful life with her late husband Nick, and together they built a home rooted in love, laughter, and the quiet strength that carried their family through every season.
She was the cherished mother of Lorenzo (Kelly) and Frank, who were the joy of her heart and the reflection of her values. Carmela’s legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren—Christian (Shaelyn), Nick (Rachel), Jessica (Brandon), and Shayne (Addeyah)—and her great-grandchildren, Lorenzo, Eli, Luna, and Easton, who filled her later years with light, laughter, and the sparkling joy only children can bring. Carmela will be lovingly remembered by her brother Angelo (Antonietta), her sisters Rosa (Ralph) and Giselle (Don), as well as sisters-in-law Angelina (Joe) and Teresa (Vince), alongside countless nieces and nephews with whom she shared deep bonds enriched by years of family traditions, heartfelt conversations, and unconditional support.
Carmela’s circle of friends and extended family was vast, filled with people whose lives were touched by her warmth and kindness. From cherished lifelong friendships, to the love of extended relatives, and all her fellow church parishioners; Carmela’s presence was a constant source of support and joy. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her, and the impact she made will be felt for years to come.
Her life was marked by more than her relationships—it was marked by the way she made people feel: seen, heard, and loved. Known for her generosity, Carmela had a heart that instinctively turned outward. She gave without expectation, always offering a prayer, a plate, or a warm word to those in need. Many found comfort in her kitchen, laughter in her humour, and healing in her prayers.
Friends and family are invited to come together to honour a life that exemplified love in its purest form.
