Passed away peacefully at the grand old age of 91, with her loving daughter by her side, on Friday, April 25, 2025.

Beloved wife of the late Andrew (2000). Loving mother of Anne Luening (Rick) and Andy. Cherished Baba of Derek (Michelle), Mark, and Scott. Predeceased by her sister Maria Bundyra (Karol) and her brother John Balwinczak. Survived by her sister-in-law Adela. Katherine will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, and friends.

Katherine was a dedicated member of St. George the Great Martyr Ukrainian Catholic Church for many years. She enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time tending to her beautiful gardens.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home (124 King St. E., Oshawa) with Panachyda at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. George the Great Martyr Ukrainian Catholic Church (42 Lviv Blvd., Oshawa). Interment to follow at St. Wolodymyr & St. Olha Cemetery (Prestonvale Street South, Courtice).

If desired, memorial donations may be made to St. George’s Ukrainian Catholic Church.
