Jason Richard Jenkins was the beloved son of Theresa Burns and Garry Jenkins, who will miss him deeply. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, James Burns II and Stella Burns, whom he adored. Jason will also be profoundly missed by his brothers, Daniel Jenkins and Darrek Jenkins; his nephews, Jacob, Bradley, and Donavan; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. Jason was well known and well loved, and he will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his many friends, as well as by his girlfriend.
A great fisherman and a self-proclaimed comedian, Jason had a gift for making people laugh. Despite his lengthy battle with chronic kidney disease (FSGS), he remained the life of any gathering and lived each moment to the fullest. Those who knew Jason will remember his perseverance, his larger-than-life personality, and the laughter he brought wherever he went.
To Jason’s son, Justice Jenkins: Jason spoke of you often and held close the hope that he would have the opportunity to reconnect with you before his passing.
To everyone who knew and loved Jason, may the memories you shared with him bring you comfort and continue to fill your hearts with the same love and laughter that Jason brought into the lives of those around him. Though he is no longer here with us, may the joy, laughter, and memories he gave us live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
In accordance with Jason’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A burial will be held at Pine Hills Cemetery in Scarborough at a later date (TBD).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jason’s memory to The Kidney Foundation of Canada or to Jason’s favourite place on earth, Camp Dorset, through The Lions Club Camp Dorset Corp.
