It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kate, a beautiful, caring, and spirited wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is now at rest with her loving husband Jim and their three children Jay, Kathryn, and Sarah.
Kate is survived by her siblings Gwen Johnston, Pauline O’Hearn, and Jim McCarthy, and was predeceased by Ted McCarthy, Don McCarthy, Mary Smith, and Christine Wesley.
A lifelong resident of the Keene area, Kate dedicated herself to health care and volunteered in numerous community organizations. Her kindness and warmth left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
A Celebration of Kate’s Life will be held at Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated in Kate’s memory.
