SIMPSON, Olive Margaret Simpson

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Olive Simpson who left us peacefully surrounded by family at her new home, Marigold Hospice on April 9, 2026. Although she spent a very short time there, she was quite excited to move to her new location. Olive was pre-deceased a short while ago by her husband Fred just before celebrating their 63rd anniversary and we’re sure their reunion will be a happy one (after she chastises him for passing first).

Olive is survived by her daughter Kim Simpson, her son Kyle Simpson, her grandchildren Derek & Trevor Pell and Riley & Emma Simpson, her daughter-in-law Trisha Sisson, her son-in-law Wesley Pell, and her many nieces and nephews and extended family residing in Canada and Scotland.

After moving with Fred from Scotland to Canada, they spent the majority of their lives in Bowmanville. They loved travelling and gardening together as well as spending time with their family, friends, and many pets over the years. Neither of them desired a funeral service. If you wish to make a memorial donation, she was a great supporter of the S.P.C.A.
