THORNE, Olive May - Peacefully on September 1st, 2017, in her 100th year, at Billings Court Manor.
Beloved Daughter of Frank and Cassandra Bassett. Loving Wife of the Late Murray B. Thorne.
Mother to Dawna and Ronald. Grandmother to Jody (Steve), Mathew, Erin, Sarah, Allison, Melissa, Mary and Olivia. Great-Grandmother to Richard, Eric, James, Maxwell, Madeline, Emily and Eva.
Olive was the proud former President of the Scarborough Teachers Association, and the Retired Women's Teachers Association of Scarborough.
Olive was a great influence in the lives of many people and will not be forgotten. Olive was extremely passionate about teaching and her lessons will carry on for generations.
Church service will be held at Emmanuel Anglican Church, 15 MacKay Drive, Richmond Hill, Ontario on September 7th from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Interment of cremated remains at Highland Memory Gardens, 33 Memory Gardens Lane, Willowdale, Ontario at 3:15 p.m.
