Rick Dwayne Olmstead

After a lengthy battle with health issues, Rick passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, at Haliburton Hospital.

In his 63rd year, Rick is survived by his father, Eric Olmstead, and leaves behind his loving wife and best friend, Patricia, whom he married on September 24, 1988. Loving father of Robert, Cassandra Olmstead (Michael Tan), and Jessica Mendonca (Bradley). Proud grandfather of Hunter Kunz-Olmstead. Dear brother of Darryl (Heather). Uncle of Courtney & Dustin. Brother-in-law of Marion Power. Rick will be sadly missed by many family and friends.

Rick retired from Chrysler Automotive Manufacturing after 35 years of service. He had a passion for adventure, connection, and making memories with the people he cared about. Whether it was the thrill of snowmobiling in the winter, enjoying music, or gathering with friends and family around a campfire, he embraced life with energy and warmth.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Centennial Albert United Church (19 Rosehill Blvd., Oshawa) in the lower hall on March 9th at 3:00 PM. Please join with the family to show your support and share memories of a life well lived.
