GRANDIN, May Kennedy - May 9, 1932 - November 17, 2022
Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister-in-Law, and Friend.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of May Grandin, age 90. She died peacefully, at Matthews House Hospice in Alliston.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Scott (partner, Lori Fox) and Gary (wife, Susan Fry); her grandchildren, Katie, Matthew, Steven and Carter; her brother-in-law and his wife, Richard and Judy Grandin; and all of her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
May was predeceased by her devoted husband, Bill Grandin.
May was born and grew up in Montreal.
She and Bill moved around the country as required with Bill's work for British Airways.
Apart from Montreal, they lived in Halifax, Quebec City, Scarborough, Winnipeg, and eventually retired to Alliston.
May worked for Simpsons Department Store in Scarborough for many years.
May happily lived in Newmarket for the past five years, where she enjoyed her retirement community with her new friends.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at The Renior (Revera) Retirement Home in Newmarket, and the staff and volunteers at Matthews House Hospice in Alliston.
