MONTGOMERY, Helen - Passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Humber River Hospital, at the age of 79, with her family by her side.
Beloved wife of Gary for 56 years.
Loving Mother to Julie and Susan.
Helen will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Peter (Hanna); her nephews, Tristan (Aline) and Trevor; her great-nephew, Caleb; and her many cousins in Ottawa Helen was a graduate of the Ottawa Civic Hospital School of Nursing in 1965.
She worked there, and in the Burn Ward at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
Following her working career, she was proud to take care of her family and volunteer for over 25 years at the Community Living Fairfax Workshop.
In 2014, she was awarded the Volunteer of the Year Award for Community Living Scarborough.
Helen's life will be celebrated on Monday, November 28, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 115 St. Andrews Rd., Scarborough. Visitation will be held prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church Scarborough or Diabetes Canada.
