Ramdial SitaRAMDIAL, Sita Lutchmie   -   It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Sita Ramdial, on February 4, 2023, at the age of 75, while on vacation in Barbados.

Beloved wife of Chan Baboolal for 43 years.

Proud mother of Gregory (Caroline) Baboolal.

Cherished grandmother to Georgia, Linden and Braeden.

Dear sister of Ronald, Debbie (Keith) Geddes, Harry (Vas), Lynn, Chandra (Arnold, predeceased), and Krishna (Annette). Sister-in-law to Lal, Zeena (Joe), Gloria, Sona, Om (Indra), Suruj (Rohini), Krish, predeceased (Nancy), and Sue (Jeff) Hill.

Sita was predeceased by her parents, Ban and Moonie Ramdial, and will be terribly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Sita was born on September 19, 1947, in Claxton Bay, Trinidad and Tobago. She attended Naparima Girls High School, and St. Augustine Girls High School in Trinidad, prior to immigrating to Canada for post-secondary schooling.

Sita worked in the financial services industry in Toronto for more than 30 years prior to her retirement. Sita loved spending time with her family, shopping for her grandchildren, travelling, and relaxing in the sun.

She was kind, vibrant, outgoing, had a beautiful infectious smile, enjoyed hosting parties for family and friends, and was adept at solving crossword puzzles.

She was a proud resident of Oakville, Ontario, for 30 years.

Visitation will be held at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, on Thursday, March 2, 2023, from 6–8 p.m. A Funeral will be held at the Funeral Home, on Friday, March 3, 2023, at 3 p.m. and will be followed by a Reception.

If desired, donations may be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Down Syndrome Association of Peel, a charity that was dear to Sita's heart.
