KOCIANCIC, Silvan - 1939 - 2023 - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Silvan Kociancic passed away peacefully in his sleep, on Friday, February 3, 2023, at home with his family by his side, after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 83 years.
Silvan will be lovingly remembered by friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Eleonora; children, Mark and Andrea; daughter-in-law, Keri; grandchildren, Katelyn, James and Stephanie; sister-in-law, Maria; nieces and nephews, Robert, Silvan, Igor and Irena; and sister-in-law, Anka, and her children, Dan, Natasha and Barbara.
He will always be remembered as a devoted and selfless husband, father and grandfather.
Silvan dedicated his life to the well-being and happiness of his family. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family, helped them however he could and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was an avid gardener with an amazing green thumb, gifted cook, legendary pie maker, unbeatable card player and dedicated family man. He will be missed and always remembered.
Visitation will take place at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place after at Assumption Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to a Charity of Your Choice in Silvan's name would be appreciated by the family.
