SIM, James Richard - Peacefully, at Cawthra Gardens Long Term Care, on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the age of 90.
Beloved husband of Sidney for 67 years; loving father of Julie McGrath and Laurie Romanica (Michael Uyeno).
Poppa will be missed by his grandchildren, Jamie, Shawn (Ashna), Ryan (Emely) and Michael; and was proud great-grandfather of Isabella, Kaleb and Mackenzie.
James was an active and distinguished member of the Masons. He entered the Masons in 1974, and was Worshipful Master of Sunnylea Lodge #664, in 1982.
He became District Deputy Grand Master of Toronto, District 2, from 1985 to 1986.
James was actively involved in fundraising for The Alzheimer Society, the Canadian Diabetes Association, and frequently participated in the Poppy Day fundraising.
He will be sadly missed. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy. 10 N. of Q.E.W), on Thursday, March 9, 2023, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 3 p.m.
