DEURBROUCK, Shirley Julia (nee MITSCHKE)   -

April 25, 1930 - May 25, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we share with you the passing of Shirley, in her 93rd year, at Erin Mills Lodge in Mississauga. Born in Saskatchewan, Shirley was one of fifteen children.

Predeceased by her husband, Fernando. Beloved mother to Sandra Wilcox, Deborah (Pat) Parker and Donna (Bob, predeceased) St. Onge.

Dear nana to Joe Wilcox, Krista Wilcox and Benjamin Parker; step-nana to Kelly Saint Onge; loving great-nana to Travis and Joey Wilcox, Olivia Vass; and great-step-nana to Dylan, Jake and Tyler Brazier. Survived by her sisters, Barb Boettcher and Marge (Jack) Burton; brothers, Glen Mitschke and Cliff Mitschke; and by sister-in-law, Sharon Mitschke.

Shirley cherished her many years as a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church since 1959, where throughout the years she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Women's Guild and the Altar Guild.

Many thanks to the staff at Erin Mills Lodge for their care of Shirley during the past seven years.

Visitation will take place at the Glendale Funeral Home & Cemetery, 1810 Albion Rd., Etobicoke, on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow.
