SPARSHOTT, Francis — "Scholar, poet, guide, philosopher and friend", as he sometimes signed himself.
Died peacefully August 24, 2015, at True Davidson Acres.
Born Chatham Kent, UK, 1926, came to Toronto 1950 to teach philosophy at the University of Toronto, which he did until retirement in 1991.
Predeceased by wife Kitty (nee Vaughan), mourned by daughter Pumpkin (nee Margaret).
Author of many deservedly well-respected books of philosophy and of poetry. Also an accomplished photographer.
He was a very funny man and made decent beer.
Awarded two honorary degrees: a Doctor of Sacred Letters from Victoria University (Toronto) and a Doctor of Laws, University of Toronto.
There will be a memorial service Thursday, October 22nd at 4 p.m., in the Chapel of Victoria College, at 91 Charles St. (the old Victoria College Building.)

Born to Terry and Lynn Pedias and remembered by brothers Justin, his twin Jordan and Jonathan, and grandparents Bryan and Joan Mathieu of Mississauga, and Mr. and Mrs. Pedias of Toronto, aunts, uncles and their families.
Will be lovingly remembered by his Associate Mom and Dad, Terry and Bonny Kemp who have raised Jeff since his birth.
Also missed by brothers Don (Jen), Chris (Jennifer), Shawn (Andrea), Russell (Crystal) and Emerald. Loving uncle to Lyndsay, Jesse (late), Jacob, Dylan, Abby, Brandon, Giselle, Zack, Justin, Stephanie, Addison and Aiden. Great uncle of Kyis, Izik, Nyla and Braydon.

Sal possessed charm, intelligence and business acumen reserved for the brightest entrepreneurs.
Well travelled with a collection of friends far and wide, each drawn by his irresistible personality.
Sal was a consummate athlete, sportsman and "bon vivant".
Renowned for the annual "hunts" held on his 400 acre estate, where he was happiest, surrounded by his family, friends and the simple beauty of nature.
Sal's legacy is one of courage, heroic endurance and vibrance, as a dedicated father to Emily and Alexander, son to Emma, brother to Mara, Marco, Matteo, Giovan and Emilia and husband to Flora.

GIESL, Aurelia (nee MORBITZER) -
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother Aurelia, born March 28, 1934, departed August 3, 2015 at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener.
Predeceased by her husband, Josef (1993); son, Klaus (2007); and son-in-law, Kevin (2003); and predeceased by her siblings, Gerti, Otto and Elisabeth.
She will be sadly missed by her children: Silvia (Manfred), Hans (Audrey), Karin (Joel), Gunther, Erika, Tanja (Dan); grandchildren, Madeleine (Mathias), Johanna, Caroline (Bryan), Erik (Karolina), Danielle, Lisa, Rehleigh, Morgen, Elizabeth Rose, Jacqueline and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Thomas.
Her siblings in Germany: Rudolf, Walter, Erika, Wilfried, Werner and extended family, hold her in their prayers.
Her legacy lives on forever in our hearts. May she rest in peace.

ROSATI, Olga Ina (nee ZEPPA) - 1922 - 2015 - Olga passed away peacefully in Vancouver on July 31, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.
One of the "Zeppa Girls",
Olga lived her life with great love and devotion to her family; predeceased by her three sisters Rose (Dolly), Violet, Marion and brother Joe, husband Leonard and son Francis.
She will be dearly missed by her children Donna Mae, Paul (Doll), Michael, Christopher (Jane) and Nerissa (Floyd), daughter-in-law Kenna, grandchildren, great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She led a full and happy life. Olga's "Zeppa" sense of humour remained sharp to the very end. She loved anything pink, to dress up, to chat, to cook and to gather people together.
Olga possessed deep strength in the role of wife, sister, mother and friend; she will be dearly missed.
Olga and husband Leonard will be laid to rest together on November 3rd, 1 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill, Ontario.
Reception to follow at Heintzman House, 135 Bay Thorn Drive, Thornhill, Ontario.
