McATEER, David John -
October 28, 1961 – January 31, 2024
David left us on the wings of his angel after a short battle with cancer.
David was the much-treasured father of Angela (Jared) and Sean (Rebecca) and his adored grandchildren, Brynley, Haisley and Silas.
David was the loving spouse of Bonnie Hunt and will be missed by Bonnie's children, Jason (Ashley), Ayden; and her grandchildren, Dee and Elyza.
David was a beloved friend and brother to Susan (the late Hugh Laird), Linda, Richard (Amber) and John.
He was a cherished uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews who always enjoyed his quick wit and sage advice. David was the loved son of the late John Joseph (Jack) and Joan Rita McAteer.
He was a kind and gentle friend to many.
The family extends its most sincere thanks to David's caregivers who made his last days so much easier -- Elma, Monica and Praise in particular.
We also thank the 6th floor team at Southlake Regional Health Centre. We are grateful for your attentive care of David. David's funeral services will be private.
Friends are invited to join the family for a celebration of David's life at Hogan's Inn, 12998 Keele Street, King City, Ontario from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2024.
David loved, and lived, in flannel plaid shirts and jeans.
We encourage you to wear your plaid shirt and jeans as he would get a kick out of everyone dressing as he always loved to.
In David's memory donations may be made to the York Region Children's Fund.

Age 58 years
Passed away suddenly at home on January 31st, 2024.
Much loved husband of Tracey Loudon for 33 years.
Adored dad of Tyler, Courtney-Kaytlyn (David) and Breison.
Cherished grandpa of Joshua. Loving son of Gloria Melanson (Mike) and the late Doug Cook.
Survived by his siblings Darlene and Doug and predeceased by his sister Chareen. Dear son in law of Brenda Reber (the late Ted) and brother in law of Jeff Loudon (Samantha Mills). He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, Bowmanville on Saturday March 16th from 2 – 4 pm.

MOULAISON, Gloria - Peacefully passed away at Eagle Terrace Long-Term Care Home, Newmarket on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 76 years of age.
Beloved mother of Sandra (Sean) Dahlgren and Richard Moulaison (Pamela).
Proud nana of Sarah and Emily. Gloria will also be fondly remembered by Coral Greeves, Judy Douglas, and Dave Brazier. Special thanks to the staff at Eagle Terrace for their compassionate care of Gloria.
Visitation will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford on Monday, February 5, 2024 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m.
Interment at Briar Hill Cemetery, Sutton.

KANE, Brendan Joseph - A Beautiful Soul In loving memory, we regretfully announce the passing of Brendan, after a courageous third battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family, with whom Brendan held hands and sang his favorite songs up until his last breath on January 30, 2024.
Predeceased by parents, Desmond and Rita; brothers, Seamus, Raymond; brother-in-law, Fred.
Survived by siblings, Ann, Deirdre and Desmond (Kelly).
Amazing uncle to Georgia, Rachel and Scott.
Brendan was and still is a catalyst, conduit and connector of friendship and community. Brendan found his juice in making people laugh, feel good about themselves and connecting people.

TURNER, Geraldine "Gerry" Agnes - Peacefully, on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Niagara Health Centre, in her 101st year.
Beloved wife of the late William.
Devoted mother to Susan (Wayne) and George (Joan). Adored grandmother to Matthew and Joshua (Beth).
Step-grandmother to Sam, Allison, Sara, Ryan and Brent.
Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She will be missed by special friends, Sheri M., Shelley W. and Mary P. Gerry worked for over 40 years at Algoods (a division of Alcan).
She was a committed volunteer, including over 50 years with the 48th Highlanders Chapter IODE, where she held several Executive positions and served on numerous committees and was given a Life Membership.
She was Treasurer at Toronto Municipal IODE and for a number of years served on the Toronto Western Hospital Auxiliary.
After living in Toronto for the majority of her life, Gerry moved to Niagara Falls in 2010 and began a new life at Stamford Estates. She was involved in the Resident's Committee and was always willing to assist when needed at fundraising events in the building community.
In late 2022, she moved to Lundy Manor, where she lived until her passing. The family would like to thank the staff at Lundy Manor for all their care and support.
She spoke highly of her PSW's and nursing staff and always enjoyed their talks and company.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., on Monday, February 19, 2024, from 2 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service in the Chapel at 3 p.m..

ABRAMOWITZ, David Samuel - Peacefully, in his 88th year, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.
Dear uncle to Rob (Natasha), Peter (Jill) and Sarah (Pete); and brother-in-law to Sue.
Predeceased by his beloved partner, Brian Kirby; parents, Albert and Lily; and brothers, Julian (Jane) and Arnold.
The family wishes to extend their deep appreciation to the staff and PSWs at Amica Thornhill who took such good care of David in his final years.
David will be remembered for his fierce dedication to social justice, his dream of world peace, and his dulcet tones.
A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date in spring.

CHALLACOMBE, Barbara Marie - Passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, in her 102nd year, at St. Luke's Place in Cambridge, Ontario.
Dear wife of Roy Challacombe.
Beloved mother of Peter Douglas, Shari Pus (Mark) and Mary Douglas Hunt (Cliff).
Dear grandmother of Danielle McKinney (James), Jacqueline Skeldon (Sean), Brittany MacLean (Cord), Lane Unger (Jeff) and Danya Douglas Hunt.
Great-grandmother of Tom and Ali McKinney, Violet and Evelyn Skeldon, and Avery and Colton MacLean. She grew up in Toronto and lived most of her life there.
In earlier times, summers were spent enjoying cottage life in Muskoka with her mother, Aura, and her sister, Beverly.
Winter months were enjoyed with Roy in Sarasota, Florida. Mum was a devoted Christian who thankfully passed on her beliefs to her family. We will miss her every day. Cremation has taken place and there will be no service.

MacKINNON, Margo (nee WESTHEAD) -
1942 -2024
(Margaret) Margo MacKinnon died peacefully, at home in Pickering on January 30th, attended by her family.
Beloved wife of the late Elroy; cherished mother of Jennifer (Chris) and Kenzia (Bret); and loving grandmother to Callum and Talia.
Margo was born and grew up in Toronto, attending Western Technical Commerical School and Ryerson University. Margo was always willing to help and interested in the people and world around her.
She was an active member of Heritage United Church and a dedicated IODE member.
She will be missed by her family and many friends, who visited and sent loving messages in her final days.
A Celebration of Margo's Life will be held in Spring 2024.

JOHNSTON, Gloria Diane Johnston - Peacefully, on Monday, January 30, 2024 at the Lakeridge Health Port Perry, at age 63.
Gloria Johnston, beloved wife of Greg of Nestleton.
Gloria was born in Bowmanville to Carl and Annie Ferguson.
The youngest of 9 children, she was raised in Enneskillen. She married Greg in July 1990.
They shared many dogs and cats over the years. Gloria loved her furry family.
And they loved her. We will miss you greatly. Lots of great times.
