Gary Clark Oruck

November 24, 1951 – November 4, 2024

After a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, Gary passed away peacefully on November 4, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. He will be forever cherished and missed by his wife Janice, children Paul (Karlynn) and Kira (Hitansh), and his dear granddaughter, Audrey.

Gary was born in Winnipeg, the only son of the late Peter and Jean Oruck. He attended River East Collegiate and the University of Manitoba, where he graduated with a degree in Economics. He was known for his love of fishing, the LA Dodgers, the Minnesota Vikings, nature, animals, classic rock music, and his talents as an oil painter and duck decoy carver. His beloved cat Harry and dog Pepper were his loyal companions.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A reception in Gary’s honour will be held at The Simple Alternative Funeral Home, 1535 South Gateway Road, Mississauga, on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the Mississauga Care Partners and the Credit Valley Palliative Care Teams for their dedication to Gary’s care.
