Terry John Ostle

December 18, 2024

Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home with his wife Susan by his side on December 18, 2024 at the age of 76.

Beloved husband of Susan Stones for more than 40 years.

Proud father of Jennifer Stones Hanni (Paul) and Patricia Stones (John Forsyth). Loving Grandfather of Tiffany Anne Stones and the late Michael Forsyth. Great grandfather of Scarlett & Kylen.

Terry will be lovingly remembered by his many family members and friends.

Proud retiree of General Motors after 35 years of service.

Terry loved sports… hockey, baseball, curling…playing, watching and following his favourite teams. He was a very active hockey player during his primary and high school years and played with the Oshawa Minor Hockey League. He was obsessed with the world and news events. He had strong values and beliefs, and an ability to use very few words to show his strong unwavering message. He always planned and encouraged others to plan for tomorrow. He had an obsession with a clean car and ensured that everyone had washer fluid, and working windshield wipers. Terry also loved telling stories of people and events in Durham region. He was loved for his laughter and his mischievous grin. He was a quiet, reserved person who enjoyed spending his time together with Susan. Terry was an animal lover as well and enjoyed his pets.

As per Terry’s wishes, no service will take place. Cremation has taken place.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Tire Sports for Kids Program “Jumpstart” would be appreciated by the family.

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at Armstrong Funeral Home.
