Viola Jayamalar Paul

January 30, 1935 - February 18, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Amma, Viola Paul, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the age of 90.

Born on January 30, 1935, in Chavakachcheri, Sri Lanka, Viola was the second oldest child. She was the beloved sister of the late Victor (Thayalam), Vimala (late Tom), Ranji (late Rajah), late Stella (late Arulappa), late Vincent (late Joyce), Veer (Rohini), and Kumar (Manohari).

Viola is predeceased by her dear husband, John, and son, Nihal. She will be deeply missed by her son Juvan (Lakshmi) and daughter Dharmini (Krish), as well as her cherished grandchildren: Nirukshi (Jeremiah), Lakshman, Jessica (Thilakxshan), Ashna, Kavina (Enzo), and Nish. She also leaves behind her sweet great-granddaughters, Sophia and Sasha, who were just beginning to know her.

Viola was known for her kindness to her neighbors, friends, and family. We will miss her delicious cooking, her creative talents—including sewing—and her impeccable sense of fashion. Her strength, resilience, and wisdom will continue to inspire those who knew her.
