Umberto Pauletto
1936 – 2024
Peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital at Maplewood, surrounded by his loving family, Umberto Pauletto passed away at the age of 88 on December 29, 2024.
Umberto is survived by his loving wife Assunta. Loving father of Frank, Sergio, and Lisa (Marc). Adored Nonno to Christopher, Julia, and Selena. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Lino (Linda) Pauletto, Anna (Bruno) Luison, Olga, Flavia, and Bruno Pauletto. Predeceased by his parents Giocchino and Elisa.
For Umberto, family always came first. He enjoyed gardening, eating pasta, and his homemade wine. A loyal crane operator at Samuel Kent Steel for over 35 years, Umberto will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends in Canada and Italy.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, and staff at St. Peter’s Hospital for their compassionate care of our cherished husband, father, and Nonno.
Visitation will be held at Friscolanti Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 2 PM–4 PM and 6 PM–8 PM. A Funeral Service will take place in the chapel on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, in Burlington, ON.
Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family. Forever in our hearts and always in our prayers.
