It is with deep sadness that the family of George Eric Harry Pearn, of Oshawa, announces his passing at the age of 88 on October 17, 2024. Born in Oshawa to the late Cecil Pearn and Rose (Yanke), George was a passionate sportsman, spending over 70 years as an advocate for hunting and sport fishing. His love for nature was something he shared with almost everyone he knew.

He later worked for Rockwell International and retired as a Subway Inspector from the Toronto Transit Commission. A lifetime member of the Oshawa Skeet and Gun Club, George was also a founding member of the South Central Big Game Association.
George is survived by his sons William and George Jr., his daughter Deanna, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Cecil and sisters Dorothy and Janette. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Fairview Lodge for their compassionate care over the past year.
