Danny Eric Pennell
February 3, 1964 - December 2, 2024
It is with a heavy heart and fond memories that we share the passing of Danny Eric Pennell on December 2, 2024, at the age of 60 at Scarborough General Hospital. Surrounded by love, Dan will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Born on February 3, 1964, in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Dan was known for his big heart and his ability to teach fishing and hunting skills, as well as his love for singing and making up funny songs.
Dan shared his life with his beloved partner and best friend, Jocelyn Boreham (Parsons) for 27 years. He was a proud father to daughter Danielle Pennell, son Reginald Pennell (Laura), and stepdaughter Michelle Boreham (Leigh). Dan was also a beloved Poppy to Benjamin and Eleanor, and Grandpa to Joshua, Fianna, and Courtney. He is survived by his loving mother Sylvia Pennell (nee Peddle) and his siblings Joe (Tammy), Mick, Rob (Lynne), Bill (Stefani), Stan (Sherri), Gord (Danny), and Peggy (Nick). He was predeceased by his father Eric Pennell and sister Grace Collins (nee Pennell). Dan will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
An avid outdoorsman, Dan loved fishing, hunting, and spending time in the woods. He was passionate about sharing his knowledge of outdoor skills with anyone interested. As a legendary storyteller, Dan brought joy and laughter to every moment.
A joyous celebration of Dan's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his honour to one of the following charities:
