Jeannine Helen Gentile (née Perreault)

September 12, 1945 - November 15, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeannine Helen Gentile on November 15, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on September 12, 1945, in Sudbury, Ontario, Jeannine was a kind-hearted and loving individual who devoted her life to her family and community.

Jeannine shared 54 wonderful years with her beloved husband, Peter Gurino Gentile. Together, they built a family rooted in love and support. She will be remembered as a compassionate and caring person who brought comfort to all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Peter Gentile, Chantale Gentile, and Michelle Gentile, as well as her son-in-law Tim Major. Jeannine was a cherished grandmother to Kassandra Major (Trey Suvoltos-Pierre), Jessica Major (Kyle Fram), Christopher Gentile, Karissa Major, and Vanessa Major, and great-grandmother to Kianna and James Fram. She is predeceased by her grandson Tristen Major and her brother Alphonse Perreault, and will be fondly remembered by her nephews Brent and Brian Perreault.

Family and friends may pay their respects at Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, after 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place in the R.J. Barnard Chapel at 7:00 p.m., followed by cremation and interment at St. John Cemetery, Garson.
