Myna Jean Peters

Myna Jean Peters passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the age of 80. Beloved wife of the late Terry, Myna was a loving and devoted mother to Christine (Dan) Edgar and a cherished grandmother to Kyle (Daniela) and Amanda (Dylan Sher). She was also a proud great-grandmother to Violet.

Dear sister to Maureen, Richard, and John, Myna will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. A dedicated former employee of the Land Registry Office for over 25 years, she was admired for her kindness and dedication. Myna was an avid Blue Jays fan, adored her family, and held fond memories of her journey from Scotland to Canada on the Queen Mary. She grew up in Whitby and later moved to Oshawa after marrying Terry.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Myna’s retirement home, Vedanta Living, and Nurse Samantha at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville for their compassionate care and support.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 3:30–5:30 PM at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division Street, Bowmanville.
