Maria Ines Pigat

March 13, 1925 – November 25, 2024

It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the peaceful passing of Maria Ines Pigat (née Pascot) on November 25, 2024, at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 13, 1925, in Azzano Decimo, Pordenone, Italy, to parents Alessandro and Angelina, Maria was reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Gino.

Maria was the cherished mother of Dino (Gerry) and Julian, a proud Nonna to Dennis, Jean-Paul (Natalia), Simona (Louie), and Richard (Soraya), and a loving bisnonna to Julian, Claire, and Mateo. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her extended family and many friends whose lives she touched with kindness and warmth.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 28, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, 211 Langstaff Road East, Thornhill, Ontario. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of St. Joseph within the funeral home. Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Blessed Virgin Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations in honour of Maria Ines Pigat be made to Diabetes Canada. Condolences and memories may be shared through Catholic Cemeteries & Funeral Services.
