Angelos Plytas
May 6, 1939 – October 29, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Angelos Plytas on October 29, 2024, at the age of 85. Born in Kalamata, Greece, Angelos was the beloved husband of Barbara for 59 years, devoted father to Vicky, Kiki (Dean), Georgia (Graham), and George (Gina), and a proud “Papou” to his cherished grandchildren Damian (Jessica), Evan, Maya, Paige, Jayden, and KC.
Angelos, the eldest of seven siblings, immigrated to Canada on September 4, 1963, embodying resilience and dedication. He built a new life in Canada, where he later reunited many of his siblings. Angelos worked for over 25 years at Metro Homes for the Aged, retiring with pride in his service to others. A dedicated family man, he cherished traveling back to Greece to visit family and friends in his beloved Kalamata.
Angelos leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and commitment that will be cherished for generations. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
