Lawrence "Larry" Reaume

1937 – 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lawrence "Larry" Reaume, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, stepfather, and dedicated public servant. Larry passed away at the age of 87.

Larry was the much-loved husband of Sue Klotzer and the proud and loving father of Lori Lapointe (Jim), Lee Ann Chute (Barry), and Lois Reaume. He was a cherished stepfather to Sarah Graham and Katie Hodgson. Larry was a devoted son to Ulysses and Madolin Reaume, and a loving brother to the late Lois Peer (Dave), Darcy Reaume, and Lyn Jubenville (Mike).

A proud grandfather, Larry’s love and legacy live on through his grandchildren: Carl Chute (Anastasia), Kristy Collett (Jarrod), Allen Torti (Amanda), Matthew Torti, Douglas Lapointe (Sarah), Gregory Lapointe, Kevin Graham (Chelsea), Summer Graham (Shane), Emma, and Colton Hodgson. He was also the doting great-grandfather of Kingston, Celeste, and Maximus.

Larry was a distinguished public servant who proudly served as the Chief of Police for the Sandwich West/Lasalle Police Department, dedicating his life to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community he loved. Beyond his professional life, Larry was an avid hunter and fisherman, finding joy in nature and the great outdoors.

He also held a special place in the hearts of many at the Windsor Es Therapeutic Riding Association. His passion for working around the farm, along with his genuine kindness and wit, left a lasting impact on both children and adults who had the privilege of knowing him. Larry’s warmth and humor will be greatly missed.

Larry’s love for his family, his service to the community, and his spirit of generosity will forever be cherished. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Larry’s name to the Windsor Es Therapeutic Riding Association or the Transition to Betterness (T2B). There will be no funeral service, as per Larry’s wishes.
