WALKER, Richard David - A world class Pipeliner has passed. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Richard David Walker on Friday, November 17, 2023, peacefully, surrounded by family.
Richard, born February 21, 1932, was a senior executive at TransCanada Pipelines, the Pipeline Authority of South Australia, Centra Gas and Pacific Northern Gas.
He represented Canada in the International Gas Union and served on the Ontario Energy Board.
Later, he found great pleasure and good friends as a Vancouver Welsh Men's Choir member and secretary. Richard is survived by his wife, Daniele; first wife, Barbara; children, David (Grace), Ricky (Marie), Mike (Roberta), Greg, and Ann (Steve); 12 grandchildren: David, Angela, Maya, Chris, Colleen, Evan, Trevor, Jake, Hannah, Chelsea, Shea, and Quinn; 8 great-grandchildren: Davie, Gareth, Wesley, Chloe, Sophie, Hunter, North and Maple; niece, Heather (Brian); and nephew, Ted (Nancy).
He was predeceased by his parents, Wilfred and Daisy; brothers, Bob and Wilfred; Aunt Phyllis; and his best friend, Wally. Richard cherished his family and friends beyond measure.
Richard Walker was a remarkable man, loved and respected by all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will take place in the New Year 2024.
