BAUDNER, Robert CB "Crazy Bob" - Age 62, of Toronto, arrived at the final hone zone on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
A Celebration of his Life will be held Sunday, December 20 at 3:00 p.m. at Aftercare Funeral Home, 1097 O'Connor Drive, Toronto, ON M4B 2T5.
Bob was born in the Big O - Oshawa on August 26, 1953.
He graduated from Kings College at Western University, received his Bachelor's of Education from Althouse College, achieved his Master of Arts from the University of Toronto and went on to pursue a secondary school teaching career in Special Education.
CB was married to Mary Ann Hogan and together they had a son Hamilton (wife, Karine), to whom he was the world's best co-parent and father.
As a loving and incredibly generous caregiver, Mary Ann welcomed CB to her home in the final months and he never left her heart. He leaves behind brother Allan, nieces Vanessa and Sarah and nephew Jordan. Hamilton's sisters Kelly and Elyse loved Bobby as a father from day one of their lives and they will miss him dearly.
Hamilton's wife, Karine - who brought a smile to Bob's face every time he saw her - will remember him so fondly. Bob was preceded in death by mother Iza Baudner and father Adalbert Baudner. Starting in London, ON as a "driving destructor," our excitable boy began his teaching career in the Northwest Territories and completed it at the Toronto District School Board's Leaside High School where he successfully coached the Golf team for years.
CB and Hamilton golfed frequently, made annual summer trips to canoe overnights in Algonquin Park and experienced an epic cross-Canada driving tour last summer when CB was still in fairly good health. A connoisseur of bad jokes, honing, golf, skiing, 2 and 4 wheels, CB sustained a lovable reputation for the outrageous and cranked it up at a myriad of memorable occasions with friends and family alike in true Hunter S. Thompson-esque style.
Deer Creek Golf & Banquet Facility will be installing a tee bench with an engraved plaque in memory of CB and his years as a member.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be contributed toward the Deer Creek Bench at Aftercare Funeral Home.
Bob's family wishes to thank the staff at Baycrest Hospital and Dr. Perry for her compassion and excellent care provided.
CB, Mary Ann, Hamilton, Karine, Kelly and Elyse will be hosting "the last Christmas party" following the service.
