Betty Rogers (Shane)

1930 – 2024

Peacefully, at the Rideaucrest Home in Kingston, on Thursday, December 12, 2024, Betty Rogers (nee Shane) passed away at the age of 94. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Roy C. Rogers, and her brothers, Jack and Clayton Shane. Betty will be lovingly remembered for her kindness, warmth, and dedication to her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Myron (Carla), and her daughters, Heather (Doug) and Deborah. Cherished sister of Margaret Dundon and Alice (Cal) Rohne, and dear sister-in-law to Betty Shane and Mary (Ron) Hough. Betty was a devoted grandmother to Brooke (Paul), Ryan (Stephanie), Alex (Erica), Jordan (Jenna), and Mitchell (Alysha), and a proud great-grandmother to Evan, Caleb, Rory, Reid, Kace, Isla, Ellie, and Charlotte. She will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends, including Shirley Edmunds and Oliver Bauer.

Betty’s family will gather for a private service at a future date, with interment to follow at Wilton Cemetery.

In celebration of Betty’s decades of love, devotion, and service to her family, friends, and community, her family requests that donations be made to the UHKF (Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario) or the Ontario Humane Society in lieu of flowers.

Arrangements are entrusted to Payne Funeral Home in Odessa. Memories and notes of condolence may be shared with the family.
