Verna Beverley Rowat
January 3, 2025
It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Verna Rowat. Late Friday night on January 3, 2025, with family by her side at Lakeridge Health Port Perry, we said goodbye. Verna will be greatly missed by her devoted husband, companion, and best friend of 62 years, Gerald. Loving son, Robson and wife Cindy, treasured grandchildren Sarah, Gerald, and great-grandchildren Zayden, Joel, and Maria. She is welcomed with open arms by her loving daughter Lea (November 2024).
Also left to mourn, Verna leaves behind her sister Bernice Arthur and many nieces and nephews she loved dearly. She was a woman who would do anything for her family, sharing her home and heart with everyone she loved.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Spring Interment will be held at Huntingdon Protestant Cemetery, Quebec, for both Verna and Lea.
Donations to Alzheimer Society Durham Region in memory of Verna would be appreciated. Online condolences may be shared at McIntosh-Anderson-Kellam Funeral Home.
