Eva Marion Patricia Schaper

December 12, 1941 – February 3, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Eva Marion Patricia Schaper (née Kime), who passed away on February 3, 2025, in Whitby, Ontario. She is now resting with the Lord.

Marion was born on December 12, 1941, in Whitby, Ontario, to Haddon William Kime and Norma Gertrude (Peacock) Kime. She lived most of her life in Ajax, Ontario.

She was predeceased by the love of her life, Frank, whom she married on August 25, 1962, and spent 59 wonderful years with until his passing in December 2021.

Marion is survived and will be greatly missed by her sons Andrew Schaper (Krystyna), Grant Schaper (Valerie), and Kirk Schaper. Cherished grandmother of Nathan, Justin, Gregory, Aidan, and Nolan. Loving sister of Ron Kime, Norine Fenemore, Marvin Kime, and Lorne Kime. “Aunt Marion” will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

Marion was a kind and empathetic person who always gave others the benefit of the doubt. Helping people was central to her life, both professionally and personally. She worked as a teacher and later as a nurse for 17 years. She was always ready to assist others, whether it was driving someone to a medical appointment or supporting them through parenthood.

Her Christian faith was a cornerstone of her identity, and she was actively involved in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church and international mission work. Marion was a role model of kindness to all those around her.

Celebration of Life Details

A virtual Celebration of Life service will be held on March 9, 2025, via Zoom. Further details will be provided by the family.
