SCHOFIELD, Raymond "Ray" Douglas
Peacefully, at Brightshores Health System, Markdale, on Friday, June 28, 2024, of Eugenia, at the age of 95. Beloved partner of Sharon Garvey-Schofield. Much-loved father of Phil. Missed and remembered by his granddaughter, Terry (Rodney), and great-grandchildren, Ashley (her children, Hunter and Riley), Kory (his children, Kameron, Klause, and Koby), and Chelsea; granddaughter, Jackie, and great-grandchildren, Malcolm, Melanie (Adrian, and her children, Weston and Liam); stepchild, Aaron (Jennifer); great-grandchildren, George, Henry, Hannah, William, Genevieve, Arianna, Sinead, Moira, Una, Shaemus, Angus, and Molly; stepson, Robin (Rena); and great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Daniel. Cherished by his sister, Donna MacDonald. Predeceased by his parents, Edgar Horace and Edith Helen, and brother, Ronald. He will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, many friends, and extended family. His kindness and generosity will be missed by all.
Ray loved trucking, his Model A Collection, golfing, classic cars, steam trains, National Geographic, and old country music.
The family will receive friends at Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception, Flesherton, on Friday, July 5th, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
