Samuel Wesley Schonnop

1953 – December 16, 2024

Peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Monday, December 16th, 2024, Samuel Wesley “Sam” Schonnop passed away at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Bonnie Rye, Sam was a devoted and loving father to Jason (Kristan), Todd (Jen), Matthew, Luke, and Jessica.

He is remembered fondly by his siblings Debbie (John) Hiltz, Don (Ingrid) Schonnop, and Tammy (Steve) Slavin. Predeceased by his parents Maynard and Marnie Schonnop (née Faar), Sam leaves behind many cherished grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will miss him dearly.

Respecting Sam’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to Branch 72 of the Royal Canadian Legion would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Neville Funeral Home, 491 Isabella Street, Pembroke.
