Alvin Edward Sheard

1945 - 2024

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Alvin Edward Sheard at his home, surrounded by his family, on November 27, 2024, in his 80th year.

Alvin was the beloved husband of Linda Sheard and the late Dianne Sheard. He was a proud and loving father to Cindy Drake (predeceased, spouse David), Alvin Sheard Jr. (predeceased), Dwayne Sheard (Julie, predeceased, and Kerry), Serlena Greenwood (Mike), and stepchildren Angie Larocque (Brian), Kevin Larocque (TerryLynn), and Amanda Larocque (Ryan). Cherished as “Bubba,” he was a loving grandfather to Little David (predeceased), Brandy, Josh, Mitchell, Travis, Robert, Ryan, Rannie, and his step-grandchildren Shawna, Jacob, Hailey, McKenzie, Mya, Nathan, Madison, and a great-grandfather to Jack, Ocean, Leighton, Owen, Landen, Kayden, and Lily.

Predeceased by his siblings Elizabeth “Liz” and Doug, and his parents Charles and Ella Sheard, Alvin will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his extended family and many friends.

Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street, Orillia, on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service in the chapel at 12:00 p.m., followed by a reception.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the Bayshore Nurses and PSWs for their compassion and excellent care.
