BOYD, Vernon Joseph - Of Meaford passed away peacefully at the Meaford General Hospital on Friday July 27, 2018. At The age of 84.
Born in Meaford on May 7, 1934, Vernon was the son of the late Leslie and Lyla ( Nee Morrison) Boyd.
Vernon was the beloved husband of 65 years to Lois (Nee Wright) Boyd.
He was a loving father of Patricia Boyd-Miller of Collingwood, Isabelle Ridd (Bill) of Meaford, Margaret Burke (Lawrence) of Barrie, Valerie Hackett (Gary) of Collingwood.
Predeceased by daughter June Jansen but remembered by son-in-law Ernie of Welland.
Cherished Grandpa of Gregory (Karin) Miller, Jonathan (Allison) Miller, Amy (Ilia) Gouchtine, Amber (Jay) Cameron, Samantha (Sean) Driesel, Vanessa Jansen, Bill (Jane) Ridd, Frazier and Nathan Hackett and proud great grandpa to twelve.
Dear brother of Elva Clarke, Marion Henderson and Lynne (Dave) Ralph. Brother in law of Bob (Laurie) Wright and Charlie Wright.
Predeceased by sister Jean Sewell, and brother in laws, Douglas Clarke, Howard Sewell and Harold Henderson.
A funeral Service will be held on Monday July 30th at 11am at the Meaford United Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment at Meaford.

Loving mother of Rick Hawes & wife Colleen of Erin, Maureen Danis & partner John MacMillan of Ottawa, Gerry Hawes & husband Ambrose Doucette of Orillia and Toronto.
Grandmother of Amanda (Mike), Gregory (Jenn), Kyle, Charlene (Mickael), Spencer (Kourtney), and David (Angel).
Great grandmother of Brooklynn, Gabriella, Chelsea, Kylie, Samiah, Mackenzie, Logan, and Jevan (due any day).
Daughter of Warren (Barney) & Lillian Oldfield, both predeceased.
Sister of Gary Oldfield & wife Erma of Guelph, Beverly Lingenfelter & husband Lou of Westport, James Oldfield & wife Sue of Little Brittain, Louise Ayers & husband Wayne (predeceased) of Marchmont, Lynda Connell & husband Barry (predeceased), Patrick Oldfield of Campbell River, B.C., Debby Lafraugh & husband Bill of Warminster.
Vaughan was a longtime volunteer with Telecare and a longtime supporter of Mariposa Folk Festival.
Family and friends are invited to meet the family at the Mundell Funeral Home, Orillia on Tuesday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel Wednesday afternoon August 1st at 1 pm. Interment at Orillia.

SNYDER, Bonnie Ruby (nee Mattison) - Passed away, surrounded by love, on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Algonquin Grace Hospice at the age of 68.
A wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Bonnie was known for her outgoing nature and would not hesitate to help others before herself.
Bonnie married Terry Snyder on October 18, 1997. Along with her husband Terry, her children and grandchildren were paramount in her life.
Her children Angie Sparling (Neil), Jeff Snell (Trisha), Cory Snyder (Julie) and Jamie Snyder (Tracy) are left to mourn her passing.
It was her grandchildren however that became her passion; Landon, Declan, Beyka, Brice, Everlea, Jenna, Summer, Rayna, Chloe and Maebyn will miss her playfulness and unconditional love.
Also left to grieve are her sister's Anne (Murray) and Jan (Ken).
A Celebration of Bonnie's life will be held at Billingsley Funeral Home, Huntsville on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 2-4 p.m.

VAIS, Faith (née Boyes) - Surrounded by love and accompanied by many through her brief illness, Faith passed away peacefully at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare in Bracebridge Ontario, on Friday July 27, 2018.
Faith was the devoted wife of George Vais for almost 61 years.
Adored by her children and grandchildren: Tom, Heather, Brett and Elizabeth; Chris (predeceased), Susan and Clare; Nancy, Lyndon (Brown), Nelson and Jenna; Michelle (Thompson), Hunter and Cassidy.
Beloved sister and sister-in-law to: Trevor and Mary Jean; Graydon and Irene; Neil (predeceased) and Betty Kay; Malcolm and Lee; Gwen and Jim Sitler; Elizabeth and Garth Dynes; Ian and Bonnie; Velis and Cheryl Vais; Tim and Helen Vais.
Cherished aunt and great-aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Our gratitude and appreciation to the nurses and staff at MAHC and Dr. Ken Hotson.
Faith was dearly loved and had given much love. She was really one of those rare people who was able to light up any room she entered. Faith was accepting of all, judge of none and champion of young people.
A funeral service will be held at St. David’s Presbyterian Church, Vankoughnet on Tuesday July 31, 2018 at 12:00 noon, with the Rev. Dr. Rick Horst officiating. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held at the Village Square, 1198 Vankoughnet Road, Vankoughnet.
Visitation will take place on Monday July 30th at Knox Presbyterian Church, 120 Taylor Road, Bracebridge from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A celebration of Faith’s life will take place at Thornhill Presbyterian Church, 271 Centre St., Thornhill in the fall. Date and time TBA.

AGIUS, Rosemarie Sarah - Born in Muskoka, passed away on July 27, 2018.
Rosemarie was a medical professional her entire life. Trained as a Medical Laboratory Technician at St. Joseph’s hospital her career began before her children arrived. Over the years, she gained more knowledge and training and her final job was as the Director of the Putnam County Blood bank in Florida.
Mom met a slightly injured but very handsome island boy at St. Joseph’s Hospital – from Malta. He became her husband in May 1955. Within 10 years, they became parents to 5 children, bought a farm in Orillia township and Dad started his first business as Hollywood Trading Post while Mom stayed home and farmed and raised her children.
By the time the youngest was in school it was back to work at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital in the lab for many years and eventually they moved to Florida for about a ten year period.
Rosemarie is predeceased by her husband Joseph Agius and her oldest son Tony Agius, survived by daughter’s Carmen Novosky (John) and Mona Agius, son’s Nick (Heather) Agius and Chris Agius.
Beloved Grama Rose to 9 Grandchildren: Adam(Julie) Westland, Cameron (Crystal) Westland, Rachel (Jesse)Slaughter, Celia (Kane) LaFranchise, Sarah Agius, Allan Holt, Madi Agius, Amber Blair, Mitch Hart – and – Great Grama to Gloria Rose Carbino, Coco and Frances Westland.
Survived by sister’s Anne Fenn and Marg Fenn and Brother Joseph Fenn and (Pre-deceased) by her parents - Sally and Naish Fenn, plus many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Carson Funeral Homes, Orillia on Friday August 3, 2018 from 11 o’clock until time of funeral service at 1 o’clock. Cremation to follow.
